Its summer and I'm tinkering with the Beast
Its exhaust this year; I got the exhaust manifolds fixed up and sealed up this spring, taking care of a leak that developed last summer just before she went into storage. Game plan was to do a dual exhaust this spring, but the manifold work held that up. But we're back in business and ready to rock on that front.
Local shop known for being able to do everything on site happens to NOT have the 1970 data cards, but will happily install a kit if I can get my hands on one. Digging around the net I see plenty of them, but I'd like to get some opinions too. She's a 1970 Newport, 2-door, 383 currently with a single exhaust. I'm looking either for some specific recommendations, if anyone knows a shop they'd recommend, but specifically too I'd be keen on specs; I've seen Aluminum and Stainless steels, "standard" mufflers, "turbo" mufflers, and "glasspacks". On such a critter, for nice rumble, that gets stored for the winter, what should I be looking for?
Some reminder/background; I do love my Newport, but I'm not much of a car person. A lot of it is greek to me, but I'm learning as I go.
