being ex army type....not forgotten.....:sFl_america2:..counting blessins
I'm in Honolulu right now. Lots of history happened on this day. Many, many local Hawaiian and local Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and European Americans died on this day 74 years ago. It's a special day here in Hawaii.

I've been aboard the Arizona memorial, and also toured the Missouri while it was docked in Bremerton, WA in 1982...the ship where the War started, and the ship where it ended. Both very powerful in their symbolism, and their gallantry. Mighty machines, they; and mighty men sailed and fought aboard them. One is an eternal tomb for over 900 souls, and the other a living reminder of victory at sea. God Bless them both.

The Taney is still afloat in the Inner Harbor Baltimore. You can still board her and go on a tour!

I've done it.....very cool!
