No, this is what happens when you have computers take over for the Human element of driving. It will create nothing but serious issues if you look at the last 10 years of shit they've built into cars that break, because of all the crap built in to take away the Human element! I'll stick with the older vehicle's, thank you!

Easy diagnosis on most of those problems. Damn computers. Get rid of them entirely, go back to analog vehicles. Problem fixed.

Get rid of automatic transmissions and the rush hour traffic will be better and the world a better place in general.
I'll take the computer engine management but steering, trans, and HVAC should be properly left to the operator

Heard an interesting report on the BBC one night that stated that in the last 10 years the amount of accidents and fatality related to car crashes has actually increased yearly. They keep trying to make the vehicles "safer" with all their technology and reverse camera, blind spot indicators, collision avoidance systems, etc....but all they are doing is dumbing down the drivers....and never under estimate humanities ability to reinvent the idiot. ;)

I'm sure there are other factors that would skew the numbers but the fact that they have not seen a significant decrease due to all the innovation makes you wonder what is really going on. Or maybe that report was funded by a manufacturer of self driving vehicles.....

My BIL has a Range Rover (don't ask) but got a newer one as a loner. The newer one did not want to let him veer out of his lane to move over for a idiot that was coming over on him. I have no idea how this system makes its calculations and when it will override, but this seems wrong to me.
I know my wife's Jeep GC has frontal crash warning that goes off constantly, (through the Bluetooth radio connection,) with the hills and turns in this area, and she is not a aggressive driver at all. I wonder if the frontal crash avoidence brakes every time you crest a hill with a curve and some mail boxes on the side?

Please don't waste them on me, but if you insist. Pray for a 2009 up Peterbilt cutoff with 3.55 ratio Eaton 404 rears to appear like the loaves and fishes.

Laura chose the perfect time to tell me to look at the backup cam in our new Jeep Cherokee, and I pointed out the screen telling you to check your entire surroundings, and I also pointed out the vehicle coming from the side that wasn't anywhere near the cameras view. I get the help it provides, but I prefer to use conventional methods that are proven like my neck that still swivels side to side. She loves the blind spot indicator, as neck movement is a struggle for her, I couldn't care less about it, but I'm all for making her life easier with driving.

That system will fail, and don't let the dealer tell you you need $1000 mirrors when 98%of the time it is the sensors in the bumper cover above the tailpipes. ( Especially in a rust belt state.
