Test fit some new wheels. 22x9 +44 on a Nexen 265/30ZR22. Straight sidewall, clears turning to the left and rubs slightly at full lock to the right. Clears everywhere else. It also will fit inside a stock wheel well cover with NO TRIMMING! Stock suspension btw, if I readjusted my bars slightly I could remove all the rub and probably step up to a 24 tbh. But I don't want wheels that big, 22's got it sitting right.

I dont have pics but I test fit them on the back too.

In case any didn't know the lug pattern is 5x4.5. I feel like that's common knowledge but just in case someone didn't know and needs to know....
 
There's 22's and there's 22's if you know what I mean. Not a big fan of these, personally, but I'd be interested to see your final set.
FWIW, the decrease in sidewall will give you a harsher ride.

Yes I am aware.but with the old c bodys already soft ride... it won't be bad I've ridden in a 68 on 22's before rode like silk

Taste is subjective; while I strongly favor the OEM look, some 22" rims look better on others. (There's a '78 B8 blue Newport 2-dr around here ridin' on them and in beautiful condition; I'd rather see a "C" still running strong on 22s than rotting away on...anything.)

On the other hand, I saw a mid-60's Olds Cutlass on those huge wheels that require raising the body...and more room to turn than a school bus. Now that I don't understand.
 
might want to try them on the back also. there is less room in the wheel well in the back than the front.
