Well we took the car out for it's first real test. 410 miles round trip and no issues!
Didn't skip a beat!
Not too many pics of the car.
got to watch some people jump out of a perfectly good airplane too!

the people in the photo is my wife front and best friend from high school with his partner.

the airplane is one of the hottest jump planes in North American climbing up to 12,500ft in less than 12 minutes with jump team.

Great, it is nice to get that first long trip under your belt. I think most of my trips the rest of this year are all under 100 miles. Nice pictures, my dad was a pilot, never could see jumping out of a perfectly good airplane either.

That's great news, love a road trip in a classic!

Congrats on the successful road trip.

Lovely co-pilot

Thanks Tallhair. :)

The top was down for 97% of the trip. Got chased by a storm cloud late yesterday & the co-pilot was convinced we would get the interior wet so up it went for the last 10 miles.
The interior did not get wet either way :D

I have the same feeling about the road trips. it cost me about $150 just for the trip in gas plus $200 for the B&B we stayed at which was less than the dream like stay that we had hoped for.

If I cost it out with snacks and meals this was a $1 a mile trip!

X2....... No matter the cost, it's better in a classic...! 4K miles on jazebelle in July.... 2 oil changes in a month. Average 12.5 MPG of Priemum gas plus additives. (towed a camper for 2K miles). And we're still smiling.

We will be headed to Florida in her, (with camper in tow), again in November. Nothing planned until then but i'm sure something will come up.

Garlits, Will? Or Daytona.
I will steal a night or two for myself and go to whichever you and El go to.

Were going to the Garlits event. It's the first weekend of November, (1st & 2nd). We'll drive down Thurs/ Fri and find a RV campsite nearby, attend the show over the weekend and then head over to Clearwater and camp for a couple days.
It'll be great to see you again. Maybe we can work out a plan to get you to Carlisle next July.

If anyone else is looking for something to do........ Come on down....... We'll have a fall gathering of FCBO members at Garlits.

I'm in!! We'll stay connected on that as it comes up.
Unfortunately Carlisle is looking further and further away.

You're a horndog... :D

I was thinking the same thing but was being polite for now.
Had a member I met a few years back that was so checking my wife out it was stupid.

I think his return line when I said I was please dto meet him was " Hi Tom, pleased to meet your wife!!"
