Do you change your battery every 5-7 years or do you wait till it dies on you?

I'm cheap. Batteries don't get replaced until they start having issues. Then I don't wait for complete failure.

When I was commuting and my life depended on punching in to the second, I replaced my 5 year batteries at 59 months.
Now, I let the "No Start" feature let me know when.
Life is better now...

if it's not leaking acid and still starts the car, it stays. with the quality of parts these days, known good used beats parts store new.

I've had batteries last 8 years. I think the one in my van is 9 years old now that I think about it.
