Had to say goodbye to my best friend

Well guys, many have posted here lately, and today was my turn. Had to take my dog to the vet and have him put down. Today he started passing blood when he went to urinate really bad. All the kids got a chance to hold him and say goodbye. The end to seventeen fun years. Goodbye "Buddy"

Thanks, he was one hell of a character. The best story about him was about twelve years ago I had an 1989 Lebaron convertible. He used to love to stand on the top and look out over the fence. For some reason he fell through the top and ended up inside the car. You should have seen the look on his face when I came out and saw him inside the car. All I could do was laugh my butt off it was so funny.

I'm sorry you lost your friend. I've lost a bunch of dogs over the years and it hurts every time.

Gotta say though... 17 years is a pretty long run!

17 years means you and your family did well for him. I am sorry for your loss. I have been through 3 of them in the last 2 years. All were over 15. Just think of the good times, not the end.

I cried like a little girl as I held our last dog when he got the shot and faded. I'm sorry for your loss, dogs are definitely better than people.

Sorry to hear of your loss. I know my time is coming too. Sadie Girl is 15 now. I hope i get a bunch more time with her. Think about the good times, maybe make up a photo album of all the good pix you have of your lil buddy.

As a Christian, i believe there is a special place for your friend, and believe me he is waiting for you there. In a place where there is no hurt or pain. I want to live a full life, but i dont fear death, as i know i will see my family, and dear departed pets again. This isnt the end, but just the beginning.

Very sorry for your loss. I lost my last dog in 2008 and I swear some nights I can hear him wandering around checking the house. Dogs live in your heart forever.

My condolences brother.. I have had many dogs / pets in my days, and it always amazed me how we can cohabitate with animals to the degree that they are ingrained in our lives as parts of our families. We communicate with them In ways to were we know what they want, and they know what we want.. they truly are a blessing.. we are the ones blessed to have had them in our lives.
