I know this question is for a 54, but you c body guys are such a source for all Chrysler detail. Anyway, where can I find the detail for the head light buckets on the 54 Chrysler? My specific question is, are the headlight buckets mounted on the underside of the fender or outside?

Not quite understanding your question.

The bucket should fit onto the fender from the front (outside).

They bolt in from the outside with a thin cork gasket under the bucket.

I have a 53 Windsor.

Great, I cleaned them up on the wire wheel and ready to spray them with aluminum paint and undercoat. Some corrosion so I have to make some repairs. Hope I can find a couple of springs in all of my stuff. Have some cork in the garage. I think I am all set. Will send pictures when done. Thank you.

One of the tabs is missing from my stainless headlight rim. The other tab is hanging on with one rivet. If anyone has one in their garage, how about $10.00 and I pay postage?

I fixed the head light retainer ring tab by wiring it in. Works good for now. Would still like to find one in good shape. Will do that at Hershey.
