hey everyone just picked up my first c body and the oldest car I have ever owned a 1966 Chrysler Newport 2dr was already stripped of paint when I got it so lot of work saved there think I am going to do a resto mod style gonna draw up some ideas soon and will also have pics as soon as I can it is a 3 spd on the colume but someone put a mid 80's 318 police motor in it I can tell from the extended oil filter and the black engine color.

that was fast wasn't it looks worse than what it is most of it is surface rust from where the guy stripped and let it get wet that's my brothers 70 super bee and my best friends custom 72 dodge van

Nice looking HT, one of the better of that era, I think. Good luck on the paint job.

I am not a body man, don't have the tools, time or experience unfortunately.

But, I do respect those who can do that kind of resto work and make it look nice.

The interior in good shape?

Whoever took out the original engine and didn't put it back in, should probably be lashed with an old wiper blade at least 40 times.
