It's kind of the difference between "you're a dick" and "I think you're a dick". One is a statement, the other an opinion.

Well you can just polity preface it with "I'm sorry" but I think you are a dick. Leave room for doubt and you've covered yourself with the "I'm sorry". So in the clear.

True Peter, True, but in this case it is splitting hairs because we all say it. Just maybe not directly because we are so afraid of hurting feelings

"You like chocolate ice cream"? ... " No, it tastes like dog ****". .."Oh, you really think so? I like it, its my favorite"

Offensive? No! Just a friggin opinion

I'm assuming your directed that comment to Dave but since you didn't reply with quote I'm not absolutely clear

No I was aiming it at the new guy that has the opinion about the wheels, all he had to do was leave out the adjective and it is a opinion nothing wrong with that, respect for your elders if you don't know they are your elder, error on the side of caution and assume, common courtesy. Brain first mouth second is think before you speak if you only have a couple of post you might think about how your comments are perceived by others, you don't just walk up to a group of people in a park or wherever and start throwing verbal jabs at people but from a keyboard its okay?

Big Barney-- obviously you didn't see where I said "cool car". It is a VERY cool car-- I had a '61 New Yorker for twenty years so I'm partial to the slant-eyed look. Sorry you're so thin-skinned that you don't want people to voice their opinions if it is anything resembling a "dick comment". I guess this website is just another one that doesn't really want new members. Ah, the politics and old boy network just never go away.

I was born in '62 and was excited as hell when the new bustle-backed Imps came out in '81, so I am a little older than you assumed. I drive a Fury, a 300M and an old Horizon, so I have no car payments. If it's your business. Are we making contact, sir? No, I don't need to meet you at Carlisle to fight or kiss or whatever you had in mind.

Now, I'm sure you're not representative of everyone on this site, but I have read enough to see that unless I wanna play the game, I'm not welcome here. So, that being said, you won't have to worry about me slamming your wheels anymore, I won't be back. Too bad, because I have many years of MoPar experience to share with everyone. Great wagon, coolest I've ever seen, I just don't like the wheels. Oh well, catch you all later. Just maybe in the future, try not to threaten someone if they say something "bad" about your car.

PS-- Mother MoPar is a *****, I worked for her for 14 years. Hope that doesn't hurt your feelings.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion but the wheel comment was in bad taste and that's my opinion.

Don't stop posting .. this can be a tough crowd but it's a very knowledgeable group and a really fun bunch of guys .. just pretty frank and direct ... kinda like your local.

I'm still here and I had a much tougher row to hoe than this :)

You're so much more evolved than I am. I always wish I would have said what you said instead of what I said...

We didn't follow through and the search is currently on hold as we are thinking about moving somewhere that we could live and I could do my work and car stuff all under 1 monthly payment. Thanks for asking though.

I can't seem to convince her, something about having a lawn, more than just a microwave a coffee pot and a fridge for a kitchen, a place to entertain people other than car guys, I could keep going. Not only all that but it costs an absolute fortune to keep that place at a habitable temperature full time.
