Gents,

I have been throwing around the idea of changing the front grille / headlight assy on my 69 Newport to a 69 300 hideaway headlight. I have always loved the look of hideaway headlights, and figured the change over may actually be possible in this instance.

is it do-able without have to completely re-engineer the front of the car?

also, im not afraid to put the work in to do it, but i do not want to spend mondo money to change it over.

what say ye?

currently...

proposed...

thanks!!!

I think as long as you get everything.... You should be good.

I would use a bosch/tyco relay to make the headlight doors work rather than screwing with the stock (expensive and hard to find) relay.

I sold all the parts for a '69 setup last year for about $150. The parts are out there and relatively inexpensive. In fact there is a yard in PA that has everything on the car, or at least they did last September.
