AE and AV plates are less than half the cost of regular tags.
Not me, I drive til I call it for the year. I called it today.
Total for the black car, I believe original and not rolled over.
Total for the gray car, also believed to be original miles.

Illinois base plate = 101$ @year
AE plate ====== 55$ @year
AV Plate ====== 35$ @ 5 years
Paying 7$ a year and being able to get reduced insurance by using AV plate is
the only thing that is good about the state of Sillynoise .....
Plus it is pretty rare to get in trouble for driving with a plate restriction...

Yeah, the $7/year is a good deal, understandable why you'd use it.
IN's standard plate for a car over 20 years old is somewhere between your $35 and 55.
