How To Track Down An Old Dealership, Anyone?

Think that was the sequence number of the Daytona sold at that dealership. The matchbook cover is a cool item.

I've gotten the 1210 address, as well as the one before or after, can't remember which, bit they both look like they could have been dealerships, as do many of the buildings in the area. Gotta love Google Street view.

Came across these old newspaper mentions while doing some searching. Kinda cool learning the history of how Spencer Auto Service Co. started out.

This explained the dealership in a different area of town, the old man (O.H.) and his brother Bill were only Dodge boys.

I can't seem to find any pictures from a long gone era of the dealership, but when looking on Google Street View, the 1210 address is a ringer for a car dealership, and the building north of it they aquired in 1945 looks.every bit a shop as one might expect it would back then. More chasing ahead.

Thanks, I'll try that.
Advanced Search | NewspaperArchive® Go to this link, Where it says "Exact phrase" type in your dealership name, then at the bottom where it says "Narrow By Publication Location" fill that in, and choose a publication, sometimes you will have to go back and choose several different newspapers until you find something.
