Old Man with a Hat
I missed them last year, I think there were more C bodies. I just took pics of as much as I could, not all Mopar, no Linda Vaughn (she wouldn’t be there until 2:30) but my wife did her best to fill in....
I got there at 5pm on Saturday to inspect and take detailed pics of the 300H...and it was mostly all packed up yet it was supposed to go until 6 (I was told). I was damn disappointed because I figured that car would be rather original, being that it was a Hurst show, and I'd like to know the exact details of the Hurst treatment to see where my car might be incorrect.
Does anyone know if that car belongs to a FCBO member?
So, thanks for posting your pics. Better ones than I got.....
Your welcome.
The 300H is from Fantom Works and there were a number of incorrect details. It was not the worst example I’d seen, but certainly not worthy of being a featured vehicle at the Hurst Nationals, IMHO. The aftermarket radiator, column mounted tach, the little “H” emblems mounted on the door panels and trunk lid, incorrect steering wheel (mounted upside down no less), just to mention a few.
There is a lot of information on the forum about the 300H in general, and pics of better examples for comparison.
For that matter, is there an FCBO member with a fairly correct 300H who I can correspond with?
I just went thru the 18 page "pics" thread saw a 300H on a trailer in 2016...and that was 65Monaco. And Mr. Pursuit and I have already has some agreement on a thread a few weeks ago, so I'll reach out to these fellows, thanks.
My recently acquired car is quite good with a minimum of mistakes (except the tips and some mechanical hacks), but only by comparison can I sniff out any problems.
And how about 69monaco? Is that a 300H I see in a big garage with three other Cs?View attachment 198726
And I will now officially un-hijack this thread!
Hijack a thread? Nah, that’s how we roll here on FCBO!
Too bad I didn’t know you were there. We could have met and discussed our cars. I also have the contact info from the guy who owns the prototype car in addition to a regular production Hurst. Send me a message with any questions
Yeah, I've been through a lot of searches here for H-specific info and didn't find a Holy Grail of OEM info, but there is indeed PLENTY of good info here, and I intend to read every word of it. Especially for getting my AC working....I spent most of my time in Carlisle talking to people about the options (I have a lot of F12, so I can go that route).
And I did meet Al Moon. Great guy, and he knows of my car as the PO was a member for forever.
It was a pleasure spending time around you and your wife this year... she's a good sport. I'm glad someone got some pics of the Hurst stuff, I never made it that far either. If they really wanted me they would have included a swap area...I missed them last year, I think there were more C bodies. I just took pics of as much as I could, not all Mopar, no Linda Vaughn (she wouldn’t be there until 2:30) but my wife did her best to fill in....
