I'd get this into perfect mechanical shape, then take a long multi-state trip, long before I ever had the desire to swap the engine, paint it purple, etc. In fact, I'd never get around to doing that crap.

I have no idea what something like this would go for, although I imagine coupes are 2x sedans and super rare when "unmolested". Rumble seat has to be worth something as well. Since he's already $3k down from his starting price, I might just show up with $9k in cash.

I just think these old coupes are cool, but I have zero desire for one once "hot rodded"

I know of another one for sale just like this one but in much better original condition and a very low miles one owner car. I don't think it is priced as high as this one either. It too is in California, but more towards the desert, unless it has been sold very recently possibly. I thought about it too for awhile until I realized I am not the guy for it.
