The weekend started off for me Thursday crazy with a bang. Some sad nut tried to take out one of my friends at work but instead only scuffed up the Ave H bridge in Lancaster. We were very greatfull he missed her car as he tried to ram her head on.
My nephew flew it to Burbank Friday and we goofed around town before we hit the show. Got some good pics of the car on a magical day with little to no traffic. We parked like rockstars at every spot we hit. Just a hint that things were going to go very very well. Then my other brother called and let me know he was goin’ with despite his little skateboard mishap. Reminds me of that “cut me mick” scene in rocky.

We had breakfast for lunch at Talleyrand one of the best old school spots in Burbank. I’m sure Tarantino used this place as a model for his hold up scene in pulp fiction. It’s right across from the Famous Safari Inn. It’s been in everything from True Romance to the Incredibles 2.
We cut across town and went over Laurel Canyon to the Sunsets Strip. Ended up at Wacko to pick up a birthday present for my daughter.

Wacko has all kinds of wacky stuff inside and an art gallery. It’s owned by Robert Williams and his wife. You probably have seen his great art. My personal favorite.

LA freeway at rush hour. Incredible.

Parking in front of wacko was pretty funny. We drove up the street attempted a three point turn to park and got high centered in a driveway !!! My front wheels and exhaust tips were holding up the car. My nephew bounced it for traction and I powered it out of the tiger trap. What a horrible noise we made doing that stunt !!! No harm no foul.

Quite an adventure! Love your car, magnificent paint job, even in just the right color! I'd be a bit afraid to park my car down there without a big *** trunk monkey to protect it. LOL Your brother's elbow looks gross as hell, must have hurt big time.
Thanks for the pictures, they are great.

Thanks man. Your car is what my car one day aspires to be. I copied my steering wheel from yours!!!

I never worry where we park it. I did a twenty footer paint job and agreed whatever happens happens. The one thing I do do is always pull my cassette tape out of the deck. Just in case...

The drag racing was fun mostly great sportsman action and boy did they put on a show. A green Vega or Maverick? did a starting line wheelie that’s bound to be in the magazine.

Mr D told me to go check out his cool old truck. He drove it down from Bakersfield for the show. Must be a dream job working for these magazines.
