Just saved this. Got it to start and drives ish. Now it is worth looking for some parts. I need the right rear door trim and where can you get the carpet for the*trunk* area? Not crazy about the yellow on yellow on yellow paint.

When things settle out, you might head to a vehicle wrap shop and see if they have some woodgrain wrap they might put on it. Woodgrain and yellow always looked good to me.
You can also head to an automotive upholstery shop and see if they have some samples for carpet. The 3rd seat area will probably have to be "roll goods" rather than molded, I suspect.

I'm not sure...bad rear axle noise, carb was missing and tank had pin holes in it. Nothing to major yet.

EZPZ ****. Just takes some time and $$, but not THAT much. Epoxy the gas tank 4 now. Dana rear end, or Chrysler?

Neat car, very large though. Good bet it was woodgrain on the sides.
Sometimes a rear axle bearing can fool us and sound like the rear end is shot. Drain the gear oil and see what it looks like.
Wagon fuel tanks are usually unique to them, on left side behind rear tire to make room for the 3rd seat.

Great save. I agree with you that the big wagons are "too much" without something to break them up visually. That thing should be woodgrain!

I hate to admit this at my age but I dont remember ever seeing a new yorker wagon live and in person! I could own on of those for sure!

I have seen some interesting methods of replicating woodgrain with an air brush. I hope to try it someday. I would go for it on this one.
