He reports he isn't selling many. I guess people would rather spend $1500 for a Just Dashes blurred original redo, rather than $800 for a near perfect original molded one. Go figure?
Bob's products are excellent. He had to be aware that a $800.00 dash pad for a obscure in the hobby vehicle, (while better then a $1500.00 unit), would sit on the shelf for awile.
Face it guys. Us C-body folks tend to be a little on the "fruggle" side. It's one of the reasons we like them. One can have a very nice car for a fraction of the cost of a brother B or E body.

Be patient, as he works a full time job at sea maintaining equipment on an oil company vessel I believe. So he might be away for three weeks at a time (that might affect his sales volume too), but his wife also helps with the orders/shipping. You won't find better reproduction parts for our cars. He shares our passion for C bodies, although he has other body styles as well. Bob will definitely appreciate getting some extra dashpad cores, as I give him any whenever I get some. I gave him some 2 door fuselage C pillars moldings recently for reproduction, so I am hoping those will be available soon. They are sorely needed.
Just received an e-mail from Bobs wife, he's out of town but will let him know I'm interested. If you need one of these e-mail him, more interest the better.

i know i bought a dash pad from abc for my 66 sport fury and in a month it started cracking in all the corners. i complaned to them and they said that since i had it colored and put it on with silicone instead of the push clips it was mine. then they said if i could take it back off without bending the framework they would recover it. they didn't say if there would be any charge. i payed 7 bills for this piece of crap. they just recovered it with a piece of vinal. not form fitted or anything and just painted it metalic red not dyed painted. i think i could have recovered mine an done a better job

Thanks. He appears to be catering to the C body convertible/ cop car crowd (the best chance that someone will spend significant money on a resto- smart). I applaud his support of C bodies...nothing for Formals...no surprise there.
I almost had my hopes up LOL!
So you are saying he recovered the dashpad he sent you, which is molded in a vacuum forming chamber, and just hand laid another piece of vinyl over his previous pad? This makes no sense. I will ask him about this when I see him next time to get his version of the story. It just doesn't sound like him to me. When did all this take place? You say you paid 7 bills for his pad, yet his website says the pads are $495 or $535 if he has them colored to a sample grille you would supply. I have seen his vinyl and it is durable stuff, so this is all surprising. Here is his listing for that pad:

I emailed Bob he needs sales for his present dashes 1970-1971 C-bodies before he does the 1972 I am willing to pay the same as Just Dashes for a better product.
I hope Bob gets sales and interest in 1972 Fury and Polara Dash as well

It's tough when one says, Who can fix my dash? and the first thing that immediately rolls off everyone's tongue is Just Dashes.
We need to help promote the efforts of this guy whenever we can.

While I can understand that it puts me in limbo. Do I install what I have or wait it out (for how long) until he meets his sales goal, if he ever does. I'd really like to have a second option.

abc dash pads
here are pics of the pad i got from abc for my 66 fury cracks an all.the paypal final cost was $565. in 2014. the feason i didn'y use the clips to put on was my hands didn't have enough strenth to pull it to use the clips without removeing the windshield, which i might do later which i explaned to abc i why i put it down with silicone like you put dash caps on. he told me that is why it cracked because it couldn't move and made it crack. i told him silicone will let it expand and shrink and wasn't mounted solid as he was stating. . i don't have a heeted garage to store it in. i drive this car ever day rain or shine snow or sun. well it is still cracking and the cracks are growing. this winter will probably kill it. as you can tell this pad is not form fitted. he just rapped
some vinal around an old pad an not very well. the vinal was black and he painted it met. red. when i was putting on the paint started flacking off. you can see in the pics. like i said i could have done better. the first pic. is the origonal pad.

No offense. Your pad looks like it was recovered in naugahyde. They should redo it for free.

Although you didn't follow the right procedure for installing the refurbished pad it makes no sense that it would fall apart like that. I don't know what to think when I hear singing the praises on the one hand and see those pics on the other. Something isn't right.

pics don't lie. a product speaks for itself they just show what it looks like in the real world.
I will withhold judgment until I hear from Bob. The way you wrote the first sentence makes it sound like his reproduction is the first pad you see in your post that is all cracked badly, which at the end you say is the original pad - pretty misleading at the outset. First you say it was $700 and now you are saying it is $565? And you are saying it is wrapped in vinyl, not formed in a mold like all the other pads I have seen of his - why would he even spend the time to do that? And you are also saying another winter will kill it - you mean it isn't killed yet? I'm sorry, but this doesn't add up. I will find out more when I can get hold of him.
One other thought, it looks like you subject your pad to brutal conditions - do you ever use a protective shield available at most all parts stores? And it seems to me what might be said by Bob is that by not having your pad firmly attached to the dashframe with the proper clips, that under intense heat or cold, the pad is expanding and contracting excessively, leading to the problems you are apparently seeing? It just might be that silicone isn't enough to keep it in place so it does not expand excessively.
One other thought, it looks like you subject your pad to brutal conditions - do you ever use a protective shield available at most all parts stores?
