More/less random but tangentially auto related.

First, I was in a very old nursing home today and spotted this....

This is the Warren, MI city hall (had to be there for something as well). 3rd largest city in the state with far more auto related industry than "the D". A far cry from the burnt-out grimey images the media puts out.

What do you notice in the second photo that you'd never see anywhere else?

Turning my camera 180 degrees yields this shot of one of the newest buildings on the GM Tech Center campus... one of very many.

This is an Alfa-Romeo displayed at the annual Italian festival. Talk about captive demographics! Note the huge crowds... the only comments I heard were laughter at the 45k sticker. I predict it will go over like a lead cannoli.

POW/MIA flag is above the state flag.

American badged maybe....

I see a:

Ram 1500 (Warren, MI)
Chrysler 200 (Sterling Heights, MI)
Buick Enclave (Delta Township, MI)
Chevy Impala (Oshawa ON, CA)
Dodge Caravan (Windsor ON, CA)
Ford Escape (Louisville, KY)

One could try and say Canada doesn't count, but the Feds consider CA-vehicles as US because of the auto pact agreement of 1965 that removed all trade barriers. Most all of the high dollar value engineering work was performed in a 40 mile radius.
