I just got a random message from my stepbrother saying he saw my old polara in Verona, Wisconsin. Anybody from the area that goes to local car shows? If anybody finds it I'd be willing to throw a burdock out to them if it leads to a sale.

When I saw you had a new post in the thread I was hoping for good news :).

Good luck and what's a burdock?

I'm from Wisconsin and I don't have a clue what a burdock is? LOL!

Another Wisconsin term is a "bubbler".....if you're from Southeast Wisconsin you'll know what that is.

I think that what you call a burdock is what I call a bone where the bone shows one's appreciation.
Goes unsaid around here.

I wonder if you did a carfax, if it would show where the last registration was?

CARFAX and other car-finding services require the 17-digit VIN, which began worldwide with 1981MY cars and trucks. There is NO service available anywhere for locating vehicles built earlier than 1981. Most states will run a VIN search, but ONLY if you are either a current or past registered/titled owner of the car or truck, and you can provide proof. And of course, they'll only have info for that one state, and cannot search nationwide for you.

the "burrs" stick to you if you brush against them. other than that , i don't know.

I was interested in it when you had it for sale back then. Price started around 5.500$ back then and dropped down to 3.500$ later on.

Cars had some rust in the lower quarters. Had an old reparied accident, too on the side.
Some scrapes were on the car. Heater core bypassed.

You sold it and it stayed in Illinois

Carsten

I think I remember this car too. I cant believe that was 2010. Who sped up the world?

I still have my old registration card for when I registered it in IL. I wonder if that will help me track it down

What a sad story. At least it doesn't sound like it went overseas. Is your Dad still in IL? Could he go to DMV and ask for a search?
Best of Luck, Ben
