Hi all
my interior lights stay on when door is closed and all switches in the off position.
I have disconnected the left door switch and lights still on is this a ground problem or switch problem. was working fine problem showed up after car was sitting for a couple weeks.
car is 67 chrysler Newport Custom.

Check the other door switch. Take the bulbs out (all) and check for continuity between the yellow wire and ground (body screw).

Make sure the dash dimmer switch isn't in the position that turns on the interior lights.

Realize that your interior lights are switched GROUNDS! So, it only takes ONE of those yellow wires short circuiting to permanently turn all your lights on. If indeed your dimmer switch didn't get pegged into the "ON" position by a mistake when adjusting for maximum brightness, then you likely have a short in one of those yellow switch legs. A loose wire in the dash could be grounding. Disconnect your battery when you start testing for shorts, then reconnect when you need to see results.
