I had some issues on Goldie and @Big_John recommended watching some of the Master Tech service sessions online. I have seen a few and thought they were cool. It also reminded my of my grade school days watching the slide film with the accompanying vinyl record.

John sent me a message of something he thought I might be interested in, I was. It is the 1966 session for convertible service. What was a bonus it was still in its original box.

Now I just need to order one of these. Who else remembers these from school?

I have A Bell & Howell projector. It was my grandfather's. No sound , just reel to reel . I've been told circa 1950. Camera and light bar... the screen dry rotted long ago.

Big John is one of the standupiest guys on the board!

We were still trained at job school in 1990 with some obsolete GM material of that Kind from around 1957. Our teacher was an old GM/Opel master-mechanic who brought it with him, probably fishing it out of a litter box sometimes when switching to Job School. He should be around 90 years old by now. I remember some basics on front end geometry for example. I loved it, the rest of the class hated it.

Vinyl records are making a comeback! Some of the same places that sell them in DFW also sell the stereo equipment those records were played on (circa 1980s). Much of what I've seen is in the $250.00 range (turntable, tuner/amp, 2 speakers). Mostly mid-line components.

Take road trip over to Mendleson's in downtown Dayton . . . the 3rd floor is filled with electronics. They have a bunch of these projectors mixed in along the back wall. 10 or 15 bucks if I remember. That's what I'm using to watch my MTSC films . . . simple, works great!

Thanks for the tip. I know exactly where the building is but have never stopped and gone inside. Most on Ebay cost more than that for just the shipping.

Adjusting a convertible doors/glass and top is not for the faint of heart. LOL I spend what felt like forever adjusting mine to close properly, not leak and to keep it attached on the highway at higher speeds. I wish I had seen this video, it sure covers the topic well. Thanks Big John.

I just found out for the first time this summer that my "professionally" poorly installed top from 5 years ago does nothing for a heavy rain parked. I have gotten caught in a couple rains but always driving and the rain would flow over the top no leaks. Before the new top it sealed perfectly, not a drop inside.

I will wait however and watch mine in the basement with the curtains drawn, record on the turntable, and slide film in a projector, so heavy duty it could survive any natural disaster . :)*
