Just for the hell of it I thought I start this thread............

Creedence Clearwater Revival is my favorite band from the past, primitive yet I still feel the music in my blood when I hear it

Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds my favorite by far in todays world. I once spent $998.00 for two tickets for my wife and I to go to DC and see them live.

This will be fun and I'll get back to it later when I'm finished with the Imperial for the night, only 2 weeks till Carlisle, yikes!!!

let me start by saying that I like a lot of different genres of music but I'm a Midwestern about to be 44 year old American boy so rock and roll would be my favorite.
That being said the Foo Fighters is by far my favorite band of all time and I think David Grohl can do no wrong in anything he's done from Nirvana to Them Crooked Vultures.

Some of my faves from the slightly distant past and some of these are still working it.(and some should have stopped)
Tom Petty & Heartbreakers
Led Zepplin
Pink Floyd
Allman Brothers
Jimi Hendrix
Rolling Stones
Stevie Ray Vaughn
AC/DC (good one Carsten)
Elvis Costello
Joe Jackson

Current faves
Government Mule
Pearl Jam
Deftones
Queens of the Stone Age
Ben Harper
David Gray
Citizen Cope
Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Trgically Hip
DMB
Widespread Panic
The The (haven't done anything in a while)

I like all this new trending towards folk and there are several stand outs lead by Mumford & Sons.
I love the blues and jazz, especially big band and swing era but also the early progressive stuff from the '50s and '60s.

Female vocalists of today can't be ignored.
Norah Jones
Florence & the Machine
Adele
and there are a few more that have been getting my attention.

Some of the early skate punk rock.
Misfits
Black Flag
Minor Threat
Scream

I have Sirius XM in my truck and its usually on Jam On, Lithium, Deep Tracks, Classic Vinyl or Pearl Jam Radio and sometimes the Spectrum.

LOL! Many favorites except ghetto rap!

I listen to a lot of old school Rock, Jazz, Blues and Modern Country.

I have XM in my truck and listen mostly to the Highway channel and Opie & Anthony channel.

Wow! What a question! I mean, where would I even start?
I like so many different types of music. I like the early rock from the late '50's even though it was here before I was.:laughing3: I like the "Top 40" music of the '60's and the '70's, except for disco. I like the late '60's psycadelic rock and '70's rock. I like the hard rock of the '80's and some of the dance/ pop stuff from that era too.
I don't really have any one favorite artist or band. At one time my favorite band was the Rolling Stones, my favorite male vocalist was Bob Seger and my favorite female was Stevie Nicks. Don't get me wrong, I still like them. I also like quite a few of the lesser known artists and bands. Oh well, here it goes:
AC/DC, Aerosmith, Bob Seger, Boston, Cars, Deep Purple, Def Leppard, Donovan, Eagles, Firefall, Fist, Foreigner, Guns 'n' Roses, Headpins, Jefferson Starship, Journey, Kickaxe, Kiss, Krokus, Led Zeppelin, Lee Arron, Lynryd Skynyrd, Metalica, MSG, Outlaws, Pat Benatar, Pink Floyd, Poco, Pretenders, Queen City Kids, Rainbow, Rolling Stones, Rush, Sammy Hagar, Sass Jordan, Scorpions, Stevie Nicks, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Steve Winwood, Streetheart, Styx, U2, UFO, Van Halen, Wishbone Ash, Whitesnake, Wrabit, Yes and ZZ Top to name a few. I can't list them all, I can't even think of them all.
That's the rock then there's country. :eusa_dance:
My tastes in Country music range from early Marty Robbins and Patsy Cline (if she was country?) to Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Barbara Mandrel and Reba to newer artists like Carrie Underwood and lesser known artists and bands, Matt Minglewood, Prairie Oyster, etc.
