It looks like I need new fuel tanks for my 1958 Plymouth and my 1959 Dodge. I had hoped to use the original tanks as both were clean and rust free inside. The problem was that both had been smashed/dented in the past and has small leaks. I did try JB Tank weld and it worked for a few months but now that it's getting warmer they are both leaking. So, I think it's time to just replace them.
My question, where is the best place for new tanks? It looks like these cars use the same fuel tank. The Plymouth is a 4 door and the Dodge is a 2 door hardtop. I'm also assuming I will need a new gasket for the tank to fill tube.
I've seen them available at Vans Tanks but heard mixed reviews. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks.
