Need help

I know a lot of you guys here own this style Chevy.
I have a 1999 Tahoe 2 door that just recently decided not to shift out of park.
I tried to turn the key onto run without starting it but no a luck.
Will not move if started either.
Where might be the over ride button talked about in the forums?
