New to me 1965 Plymouth Fury I in South Dakota

Brought home the Fury on Monday and have read a fair number of threads here, so thought it best to join and introduce myself and my car.

1965 Fury I
Slant 6
3 speed manual
Carter 8028S carb (this has me confused and does not appear to be original)

My first car was a 1965 Impala 4dr and now, 40 years later I’m in an even cooler ride.

Any thoughts on the slant 6 2bbl carb combo?

I'd go with an original carb as used on '65 slants, Holley 1920, very reliable & economical.

It is a Plymouth button. I’ll have to look under it. Maybe it’s covering a flaw.
