Pretty nice car! Would make a good mate for my '66 Newport Town Sedan (brown interior).

One issue might be that it is from a coastal area, and all that might mean (saltier air and such), but appears to be a good condition. The cracks in the sealer in the roof drip rail are very similar to what our '66 Newport has AND had when new. Being it's a NY and has the hood insulator pad, it should have factory undercoat, which should help things a bit. Tires look good but no mention of "age". Curious about the heater water shut-off valve and the reason for the gauges? Plus the Edelbrock air cleaner and what might lurk beneath it.

Might be interesting to follow the bidding.

Not the case on this one. That's just how the seat foam deteriorates on the '66s. Mine did the same exact thing, just 35 years ago. The seat springs cut the foam into chunks, and it falls out the back because of the sloped floor.

Hinges are bent and so is the cowl. Dead giveaway that the hood flew up on this one.
