This is my follow-up story to my lead story -NEWTON'S GARAGE. Dressed in my rip-stop pants, knee high boots, and sherpa-lined flannel shirt (60 degrees today!) ...,war paint on my face...I emerged from the water laiden bogs of a wooded area located along the base of a long, long ridge. The winter thaw was taking its toll on much of the area. Hanging from my belt were the machette, loping shears, canteen, & phone. I had done battle with ferocious pricker bushes, nettles, cattails, and saplings. Thank god for winter de-foliation. I was actually able to see the thorn coming and then entering my body or snagging my shirt. I was able to see my way from one bog to the next...too bad my feet don't have eyes. Even after having been through all of this, I had the biggest grin on my face as I walked toward the office of the Junkyard.., for in my hands, I was holding thee most beautiful 343 1154 Washer Reservoir and a very restore-able Front License Plate Bracket, both for my '70 Fury. How many hundreds of miles I have driven, How many hoods I have opened, how phone calls and emails I have made, how many hours on this dang computer I have spent.......finally- Paydirt! I am still smiling, as I sit here tonight, waiting for the Ibuprophans to kick in, as I pick the burrs out of me and my clothing.
