A very nice day here yesterday and I took the Ram on a lap around the Chesapeake Bay to Ocean City, Maryland and then across the Bay Bridge back to Baltimore and then back home. In my hurry to get rolling I forgot my camera and all my pictures were taken with my phone.

A lot of coastal beauty....

The Magnolia tree in my front yard b

A bunch of C-130's and a C-17 landing and taking off. Brought back those familiar sounds and smell from yesteryear for me!

I hear you Bob.
On a trip to Myrtle Beach SC for vacation my BIL and sister wanted to go tour the Yorktown in Charleston SC. When getting ready to decend the decks into the engineering spaces, the smell of grease, oil, seawater took me back. My BIL laughed and said it was like a spell came over me.

I live close enough to Aberdeen Proving Ground that I hear small arms fire, machine gun fire, tank main gun fire and artillery fire daily. Friends and family that visit me ask what is that gunfire?

I tell them that is the sound of freedom!

My son was stationed at Dover in the early 2000's. While we were visiting, the AMC squadron was doing touch n' goes with C5A's, It was crazy watching an aircraft that huge coming in, tapping the landing gear on the tarmac and powering off again!!

Nice ride you had there Bob, a few years back when visiting my sister in law, we went to Ocean City. I don't remember where she was living at the time, Severn or Edgewater. Now she is in Harwood. Next time I am visiting I will have to look you up Bob and see your fleet.

Funny you say that.
BuFu County is home to the Avon Park Bombing Range.
Yes it gets noisy a cupla-three times a year.
And that's the first thing you say to complainers.

Civilians complain here too even when we publish in local radio, TV, and the internet when there is a big blast that rattles windows. They also try to sue the Army for damaging their windows and foundations. No one has been successful with sueing the Army. We even have people complain about the noise across the bay in Delaware and the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Noise and concussion from ordnance travel great distances over water. I have had some big ordnance tests that were delayed until I got a favorable atmospheric report from the ATC meteorologist to conduct those big blasts.

Aberdeen Proving Ground is a huge and busy place. You will hear some sort of gunfire here every day.

Heck, I'm close enough to hear Revelry and Taps over the installation loud speakers at my house.
