Option for repairing plastic parts ?

. . . and to determine what might really work for you.

I've got to try that heat addition thing to mend cracks. This eliminates the lump of glue/epoxy on top of the crack. I'm wondering if the crack is still is visible when flexing. Not that you would flex it much but I'm wondering if its presentable for visible pieces. But in general melting in a reinforcement looks promising. Lock washers or craft jewelry rings might be a substitute for spring sections.

I ended up using staples, mapp gas and pliers. works great for strength. Worked well for a plastic motorcycle fender.
