Just west of me. G. H. Ward Chrysler, Plymouth, 20 - 26 Water St., Auburn, N.Y Wards moved to another location, then closed and became Fox C-P.

The buildings are gone and the street became part of the Arterial through Auburn.

Unknown location. Nash dealership and I'd say that's about a '50 Nash fender.

How many dealerships back then had a dynamometer in their service department? Note Sun distributor machine.

Captioned:
"With twelve mobile service laboratories, Edsel Division of Ford Motor Company began a program to take the training facilities to Edsel dealerships from coast to coast.

Mechanics at the dealerships received special instruction in servicing the Edsel. Initially, the 30-foot trailers were pulled by Ford Ranch Wagons."

Something a little different.

Shell station burning due to a natural gas explosion in Canora Saskatchewan. I couldn't find any info on it other than it was rebuilt.

Since I did one on fire, how about a flooded dealership. This happened in 2021, so not really "vintage", but the style of the dealership isn't the usual sterile box that most places are now.

Collegeville, PA

Yup, newer but still an interesting "conversion of a house into a dealership" 19426 Route 4031, Collegeville PA.

Still in 2023, looks like the folks across the street had a rougher go of it.

I would assume by now (2025) whatever is still standing, has recovered, tho apparently the "Perk --ee-o-men" Creek has a flood problem.

The short video beow is 2024 and the "Duc Inn Tap room" is about 6 miles north of the dealership on the Perkiomen Creek

This pic may be "colorized" and I don't like to post them generally. The signage is kind of impressive though.

"GM’s longest strike at Norwood left cars unfinished and non-compliant with 1973 crash rules. Cheaper to crush than fix—some went to schools."

Still there. Dunno when it stopped being a dealership. Appears to have been sub-divided/repurposed many times since 1961.

SE Yarnhill at SE Grand Street, Portland OR. By 1961, the urban "big box" dealership was on its last legs - spirlaling real estate values in most downtowns, landlocked, etc,.
