That was and is a small rural area. I remember going through Reedsville on way from Oakland MD to Morgantown WV many times starting in the 60's

Wow Not many of these were made so you did not see them out and about.
you might be right about dating of the pictures. However, since the building looks so run down, I wonder if it could be during the depression?Baynes Store in Person County, North Carolina.
Unknown year, but possibly early 20th century
Gas pump on left and possibly kerosene pump on the right.

I think if you look at the front window spacing, you'll see some similarity.maybe but does not seem to have any similarity from the angles we have available to us
wow You make good stance. Would be nice if we could see to the right side where the older image had another structure (likely service department ) which we cannot see one way or the other in the one with metal facade.I think if you look at the front window spacing, you'll see some similarity.
I can't remember where I found those pics, so what I did was do a Google image search and found a few references to the building being on E 4th St between Jefferson and Monroe in Beardstown, Illinois. A check of that on Google map and there's only one building there.
With more searching, I found another source where it was said Knipmeyer Used Cars were in that building now and again, same building.
So, while I can't say 100% that it is, everything adds up to it being the same building.
Redsville is not really even a town. It is a little burg on the way from Kingwood to Morgantown WV. I remember going through there many times in the 60's and 70's.
