Photos of Vintage Auto Dealerships, Repair Shops, and Gas Stations

Seems like many of these 1920's-1930's built, ex-Packard dealerships made it to the 21st century. An active following, kinda like FCBO, I ain't gonna duplicate that site here .. just a couple neat ones.

Portland, OR, 1331 W. Burnside. Looks like original sign was re-purposed too.

Bronx, NY, Crotona at Fordham. Heavily remodeled, but basic 100 year-old bones are under all that NY DMV cladding I believe.

I saw Motor Wheel Co. mentioned in another thread.

This is one of their 2 plants in Lansing MI. It was originally the Prudden Wheel Co which was one of MW's predecessors.

After being vacant for quite a while it was converted into Motor Wheel Lofts about 15 years ago.

While not a pic that shows much of the factory or assembly line, I thought this pic of a woman working on the '58 Plymouth assembly line was worth sharing.

People don't realize how the assembly lines put women to work in good paying jobs.

Note saddle shoes!
