Building demolished and now a Lexus dealer. Interesting turntable in the front window now.

One hiding in plain sight, from another unrelated thread: Original bill of sale

Falls Church Chrysler Plymouth, 357 South Washington, Falls Church, VA. Built 1964 (looks older though), 20,000 sq. ft.

Mega-pricey digs (last sale ~$3M) so unsuitable as a "hobby house", but I like it. May or may not be in commercial use now, last business was a taxi cab company.

Didnt find any vintage pics AS the dealership. Got in trouble in early 1990 and that may have been the end of it. Pic below may PRE-date this locations use as a dealership. It has a 'garage/gas station" name

My ‘71 was purchased new there. It was built at the Newark Delaware assembly plant.

Built 1954, Moderne style. still there but empty. 4038 S Archer Ave, Chicago, IL

Mature section of city, still looks viable. 30K sq ft, only suitable for a commercial reuse at that size.

Still looking for a picture of Mel Wolff’s Gage Chrysler Plymouth on Western avenue
5950 N. Western Ave. something auto-related is still there, but modernized/updated. I did not locate a vintage pic of that address.

5711 S. Western Ave. was where Gage was. Second photo below, now a Comcast building - didnt find vintage dealer pic of that location either.

When the new ‘69s rolled out in late ‘68, I was there with my Dad. He bought a NO option Newport 4dr hardtop. The hubcaps on my ‘71 (above) are from that car. I don’t know the code, but it was a medium green with a dark green vinyl top.

The Old Dealer Codes thread provides a date for DeSoto

@PeugFra Post in thread 'Old Dealer Codes':
Old Dealer Codes

The Yellow Cab Company lists their business address as:

11 Hillwood Avenue
Falls Church , Virginia

Also, street names in Falls Church / Fairfax County were recently changed. For example, Lee Highway and Lee Jackson Memorial Highway were changed to Route 29 and Route 50 on July 5th of this year. Any questions as to why can be raised/discussed in the political forum.

Nice/crisp picture you posted of the Gulf Garage truck with DeSoto-Plymouth Sales & Service on the door.

Found this stating the picture was taken in 1948. The fairfaxunderground.com link does not work for me.
