They were in a pretty cool building for years in Liverpool, NY (suburb of Syracuse) before they closed. An old friend worked there for years and retired when they closed.

I wish I could get a good pic of that building. There's a tanning salon and various other businesses in there now.

We talked about Bresee Chevy dealerships and their location before closing in Liverpool, NY.

Today, in my "Nostalgic Syracuse" FB feed, I saw this:

1713376581986.png

"Moyerdale" farm on Old Liverpool Rd. was one of the homes of H. A. Moyer, carriage and auto maker in Syracuse. Moyer raised award winning cows and horses there. Moyers son-in-law, Ward Wellington Ward, lived directly across Old Liverpool Rd. at Lemoyne Manor. The factory where Moyer built carriages is being renovated but sadly Moyerdale was demolished to build an auto dealership.

BTW, this location is only a mile or two from where two cops, an Onondaga Sheriff and a Syracuse Policeman, were killed this past Sunday.

Building has long been soomething else, sub-divided. re-skinned, tho surprisingly all still there at least 80 years later, in pricey San Fran real estate market.

circa 1955

175th Street at Broadway (alleged), New York, NY, Asserted to be 1948.

Nothing there now that looks like this old dealership (only ONE corner (southeast) looks like it has a building newer than 1948 but it doesnt look like the dealership)... doesnt mean its not there, I just don't recognize it.
