NOW YOU GOT MY MIND GOING & MY WHEELS TURNING !!

This is how Chrysler did them more tastefully, although many hate them too.........................but they were available optionally without them as well.

I like the way how Chrysler, Desoto and Imperial offered those on their models. About the Newport, I think that white paint is not so common on Fusies.

That's not really a "Continental Kit" per say. The ones from the factory actually looked pretty cool. I had one on my '59 Belvidere. That abortion that some schmuck put on that car is, like on most cars, regardless of make is a complete disaster.
Never liked them...Never will.

The True continental kits are ugly in my mind, too. I also like real wire wheels, but not Texans with the spokes protruding awkwardly.

I wish I had some money to burn on another C-body commuter car. It isn't that far from me.

He's from Ft. Dodge? I love the Hawkeye State for some of its place names. We also have a Plymouth County and DeSoto Bend Park/Wildlife Refuge.
