:BangHead:

I had a 71 many many years ago that I had installed a 1972 400 HP into and used Hooked headers. I later installed a 440 and used the same headers.
I see in your other thread you say they won't work from the B to the RB engine ...I'm curious as to why ...

Yeah i thought the same thing.. 1 7/8" pipes. Very tight with the 383. The 440 is bent different. I heard tti is the only one like that. I admit i didn't try and im not gonna. Many people told me it won't work. Headers are a real pain in the butt on c bodies.

Lol..that crossed my mind..
Im not afraid to ask questions but im als pretty good at figuring things out..

My point is that is my old car. It is a 360 car that has been through some molestation by its last two or three owners. As I sit here I have a life plan. That is or probably is the only car I'd bring into my garage within the next few or several years.

On my 65 Sport Fury 440, I have a set of them. It is tight with the 440, but easily doable. I ground the exhaust pipe flange on the passenger side for additional clearance. They would easily work on a 383-400 block, the 440 is just a little bit wider, which causes trouble on the Passenger side. Driver side fits like a glove.
With good motor mounts, you should be fine. I have heard that the 65-66 cars are the tightest fit, out of the C body line, when it comes to big blocks and headers.
