FYI:
Plymouth, Dodge, Chrysler & Imperial 2 door cars used the same sill plate.

BUT ........ There is a glitch ......

The early style had indentations and the later style was ribbed, I think.
They do interchange though.

Why in god were the Jan 01 mandates so stupid that the had to change the style of the sill plate?
Was this some kind of signal to tell the lead trim assembly team on Jan 02 they were to stop using the original '69 stuff and use the new stuff?

A quick search didn't turn up an suppliers of reproduction C-body sill plates. Do you have any sources .....?

Id swear i had seen something at Carlisle more than once. I recall complaining ..." never anything for 70".

I vaguely remember something about the regs required on Jan 01 added so much to the price that the manufacturers were trying to hold off sticker shock until the last minute.
