Speedo Question

I replaced the speedo cable on my 67Fury. After I buttoned everything up I noticed the needle or indicator came off. I removed the outside bezel and the plastic bezel over the gauges. In the last other speedos I have looked at had stops and you kind of preloaded the indicator. The fury has none either below 0 or at 120. I pushed the indicator back on at 0 and went for a test drive. It wanted to turn counter clockwise in reverse and then at APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH it wanted to make 360 turns and or pegged at 150 MPH.

Any ideas? Almost done and working out the last bugs would like to get this buttoned up.

See if the rotating magnet has a wobble from a worn shaft. That was a problem in my 65 when I bought it. The speedo cable was broken because the spinning magnet had grabbed the aluminum cup. I had the shaft bushed w/ bronze.
