Hey Ive got a 68 Newport with saginaw turn signal no tilt and when i took it apart three springs came out and were laying in the housing.
Did these go behind the switch?
Or behind the bearing housing?
Thanks

Would a "lock plate" be specific to columns with the ign key cyl in the column itself, rather than the key cyl being in the instrument panel?

You might download the 1968 Chrysler Parts Book and Factory Service Manual from www.mymopar.com and look for an exploded view of the coumn items. Free downloads. That might answer your question, possibly?

Enjoy!

Hope this helps
