Yup. Otherwise your tail will be on the ground if your ever venture on the roof. The 2x4 across screwed in will do fine. Not code of course, but good enough unless we start seeing a second floor on this Winchester Mansion :). Stan you run the Timberloks straight in without pre drilling.
 
You can't see it but the roof does rest on the walls. I notched them out and then screw them to the top sill. The 2x4 in front is nailed to a roof truss that is nailed to the upper sill plate.

I checked my work, and you guys where right. When I attached the roof trusses to the shed I had to go under the a/c unit. I built the wall so that I could stand up in the shed, which required me to lower the roof trusses to the inside of the wall, so I could have some sort of slope. I will add the header to support the roof. Thanks all.
