I've been looking for a "68 NYer and watching CL and ebay. These two sold in just the past couple of days. I'm a little shock at the prices they fetched.

I posted pics of a car I was interested in that they wanted $6500. http://www.forcbodiesonly.com/mopar...05-Price-opinions-68-NYer&p=262839#post262839
The general consensus was that he wanted too much. Somethings just make you go hum...

The bidding looks fishy on the first link. $6,350 was has high bid then jumped to $8,500 and same bidder was bumped to 9k.

The second e-bay example you posted was run up by zero feedback bidders co I wouldn't count it as sold just yet. Your first example sure did bring strong bidding. The secret of how great our C Bodies are must be getting out.

It looks normal. If a bidder puts a max bid in a lot higher than where the bidding is at it will jump way up without showing every increment.

If you are interested in a car do not post it here. FCBO drives up the price of C bodies despite the cheap bastards on the board

I don't see how you can compare value of the car from your other thread to this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/321782873868
This is a beautifully photographed, great looking, 2nd owner car that appears to have 47K miles. I believe it is an anomaly in the market and it's price reflects that.
The car from your other thread had grainy pics, 95K miles and was photographed while pulled halfway into a driveway. Why would someone take pics like that? It doesn't make sense to me and therefore deducts a lot of value because now I'm suspicious of everything else. It may be a nice car but the seller's asking price didn't match the effort to represent it.

wow! I've seen so many aftermath pics of the Garden Hose Bandit but this is the first time I've ever seen them caught in the act!

Any sale listing where the car is wet automatically loses all credibility with me. This one also has a lot of brand new, zero feedback bidder activity. In my opinion, the last honest bid on this car was $1500.
