I get what you mean and I agree that I'd rather see it stay stock. My point was more a distaste towards the groups that take something totally restorable and instead cut it up and throw a 350 in it.

Interesting perspective Will, I like them original, that is exactly the way I would like to see it done, but as a driver, not a museum piece

All I see when I look at it is a very expensive hot rod.

That era car in its original trim doesn't do much for me. I appreciate a nicely restored car but it's just really not my taste.

I could drive that all day....... In fact. If it ran and was drivable I'd drive it as-is

Dunno, your the body man you tell me. To find the mech. parts will be a challenge but whats a gallon of clear worth?

I LOVE rat rods but I'm gonna guess that they're less popular on this site.

I think they are cool rides too, but on a 32 Coupe or a 50 Merc or an A, not on a hard to find Desoto.

I could be dared into rat rodding an Imp pretty easily. I have a basket case 73.

Then no bitching from you girls when the Imp has headers sticking out of a hole in the fenders.

Well, that sure would be easier than than trying to restore that POS.
