We dynoed the new motor yesterday. It purrs like a kitten, even smoother than the stock 440 in my 72. At 900 rpm the idle didn't vary by more than 10 rpm. However, when we gave it the beans the torque came through. I think it's going to be perfect for cruising in the 71 Imperial.

There are some videos on my fairly abandoned YT channel. Ridgewood Machine.
This is a 440 Source 543 stroker kit. It actually measures 541 inches.
10.5:1 compression
CNCd Edelbrock RPM heads
Wilson Manifolds port matched Performer RPM intake
Custom Comp hydraulic roller 235/241 .589/.517 cam
Comp steel roller rockers
Milodon external oil pickup
TTi 1-7/8 headers.

stock rockers or 1.6 3/8 pushrods what carb ? TQ? HPmanifolds or? any quench how much

The rockers are standard 1.5 ratio. 3/8 pushrods. The Gaterman lifters are sized to allow B engine pushrods in an RB. They measured out well.
Headers. Manifolds get too tight on angle plug heads.
I got as close as I could to quench. If I remember correctly it's just over .060" with the gaskets. Not as tight as I wanted but I got what I could with the gaskets available. The CNC work on the chambers really opened them up and required large bore gaskets.

Congratulations on seeing a well designed, well built engine confirm the expectations you had for it.

Awesome build. 600 ft-lbs at 3000 rpm is going to be ridiculous. You could get away with a powerglide with a torque curve like that!
