All I can say is the polling places were busy everyday during the early election period.
I'm old school and went on Tuesday at 6am when they opened. After standing in line for 45 minutes before I was able to cast my vote, the atmosphere was full of high energy and excitement. I can't say I've seen that since I voted for Ronald Reagan.
And even though when the election ended in Illinois with Hillary in the win column, from where I was standing, not many people were there to vote for her.
