I'd go 255/70R15. Unfortunately no narrow white side wall available in that size. With that size you will be safe from rubbing and having to reinspect the vehicle when you find that the 285's won't fit the rear and will contact the frame or fenders at the front.

I just found two15x7 steel wheels for cheap, so I will end up with 255/70r15 on the 15x7 in the back, and 235/70r15 on the original 15x6,5 in the front. probably is the more safe and reasonable option :D

that will work u can put a 70 on a 8"wide whee but its going to be allfull flat a 15x7 wheel is netter for the 70 searies . this is my first mopar it wasa 73 dodge polara it has a mld build ( 13.5 sec dc cam i hade rockets ss wheels all the ay aroun 15x7 frount & 15x8 rear . now this was in 1978 sothe metric tire sizes wasnt around . i had h 70 15 front & h 60 rear then later in it like i put a bf good riich h 50 (a early grag radial )

That 235/70 will be too short of a tire for big wheel wells. Square/equal tire size looks on big C Bodies.

235-70-15's are 28" diameter and more than enough tire for the front. I believe the car only came with the equivalent to a 27"diameter tire originally
