so I'm kinda new to building a car and I'm in the process of replacing my leaf springs, I have a 66 Newport with a 8 3/4 rear end. When it comes to u bolts is there a specific one you use round , semi round and what determines the style? I'm assuming I would use round style with a 2 1/2 width X 8 length. If I'm wrong in this PLEASE tell me it won't hurt my feelings. Thank you

The U-bolts on Mopars have a "flat" area at the inside hoop of the bolt. This so the bolt doesn't form a dent/crease in the housing tube when tightened. New ones are available, a google search will turn them up. I've also seen them on ebay.

Will.
