Short introduction:
Done so far:
-Couple of meters of new vacuum hoses
-new float to the tank sending unit (old weber carb acted as an organ donor)
-repairing the wiring to the seat adjusting switch
-ultrasonic treatment for the carburetor and bending the floats and linkages to factory settings
-patching a crack in the radiator with tin (my first time, not pretty but holds the pressure)
-replacing a couple of window motor gears
-cleaning dozens of electrical connectors
-refitting the doors on drivers side, somebody had propably removed them at some point since the gap and flush-precision was something that you see in Soviet-made cars
-new brake mc
-new alternator and regulator
-ignition system overhaul
To do-list:
-new b pillar plastic covers (if I ever find a pair)
-new vinyl top
-paint job (a lot of dents and cracks)
-new ac compressor/drier/expansion valve (hopefully the control unit works...)
Except for ac everything works now in this car, even the original am/fm radio with its automatic seek. All the trims and ornaments are also still in place.
