Welcome Crown of 66 to FCBO!

Congrats and welcome to the site from the Motor City!

Hey guys, thanks, this looks like an awesome forum. Before I joined I spent half an hour reading about how to avoid finger loss on the power window motor removal thread after my new 66 Crown rear passenger decided to close itself just before a major downpour!

Got the car about three weeks ago, and am discovering a few issues with it, but original engine seems really solid and strong. I have a few other 66s, a Charger and a D100, and also a 72 Scamp. Had a 67 Fury a long time ago, but the smooth drive of the Imperial is really awesome! I have owned lots of cars but it is unique in how it drives!

The interior cleaned up pretty nicely! Got some scaly but solid floors, which I plan to address with rust converter, spruced up the faded carpet with a bit of black fabric paint, which worked pretty well.

I'd recommend some lemon oil for that woodgrain on the dash, spruces it up nicely. The OIC (Online Imperial Club) has a nice "thread" about refinishing/sprucing them up........
