What are you working on today??

I was going to finish mowing our pasture when the rains came down again. Ran to the garage, cranked up the wifes 04 Rumble bee for its bi weekly run. It only goes about 100 miles a year! Went to crank my 68 300 and she went.. click click. Had to take positive clamp apart, clean it tightened back up. Cranked right up. That concludes my sunday!

Cut up a fallen branch from the mulberry tree.

Soggy ground and wind are blowing trees down all over east texas. Ive lost several pine trees this year. Ive been wearing out my chain saw and pole saw. Lots of bon fires!

The mulberry tree that had a branch go down - that branch had some hollow sections in it. Woodpeckers have made homes in it. It’s also probably 75 years old.

deciphering the wiring under the dash..... man, for an electrician in the Navy he sure cobbled some questionable wiring together under there.......
I found things I know I remember him telling me to never use....
I will count that in the column for learning from his mistakes

Made great progress, it's back together but I have a couple nagging issues to look at before taking her to Street Machines Nats this weekend.

I contribute to my hall of shame enough and have to remind myself of that when I find other messes.

The guys showed up this morning to mow the lawn and they said "we have chain saws" and that's all I needed to hear. They didn't have time to cut it all up, but they cleared it out of the driveway and they'll be back Thursday to finish and haul away!

I really didn't want to do it... It's hot and very muggy and I'm still a bit tired from the Carlisle trip.

Good fortune right there!

It raises and lowers. I still have to adjust the safety ladders and cables, but they are very close.

Today, I got a lot of loose ends tied up, and a trial raise and lower with Ringo, our ‘65 Ranchero.
I still have some cable and safety ladder adjustments, I need to get the hydraulic system topped off and fill the roller jack reservoirs.

Spent a hot and humid 3rd of July getting dad's Camaro convertible up and running. First time in nearly 2 years since it has seen the light of day since his passing in March of 2023.
After replacing the battery took her out get a sip of the go juice. I forgot how small and cramped it feels inside with the top up.

Bolted on the accessories and made plug wires for the new engine I picked up last week, going in my Fury. Hoping to dyno it in ~2 weeks!
